Yes. The North Avenue Church of God congregation voluntarily pools our prayers and financial support with community, state and national mission outreaches to accomplish together what no group could do alone.
Locally, we support Inasmuch House, CityLinc, Haven of Rest and Safe Place, and our congregational members volunteer in numerous organizations to aid the disadvantaged and to relieve suffering at many levels. We give to worldwide missions through Church of God Ministries (Anderson, IN) and designate income for Chad Davenport (missionary to New Zealand), DonDeena Johnson (missionary to Japan) and Horizon International (supporting orphans of AIDS in Africa). We have sent teams to help the Katrina victims, to work in inner cities and to support projects in Appalachia. |
